I was the 9th employee at the company when I joined. This was my third internship at a fintech company but first one at such an early stage startup.
  • Drove credit cards from conception to processing millions in transactions.
  • Refactored Plaid integration using GCP and webhooks.
  • Established idempotent ACH/Wire payment processing.
  • Redesigned MFA and backend architecture using Kotlin to support migration to new partner bank.
  • Implemented loan drawdown and repayment flow.

Hack The North

Frontend Team Lead, Apr 2021 - Dec 2022

  • Led a team of 6 frontend engineers to build web applications for 3000+ attendees from 30+ countries for promotion, application, and RSVP using React, TypeScript and GraphQL.
  • Coordinated cross-functionally with design & backend teams to take projects from ideas to shipped features.
  • Site received 5.2 million requests from 40,000 unique visitors and portal received 6,000 applications.

  • Built upsells with React, React Native, GraphQL, and Relay for Coinbase One.
  • Collaborated on a data-driven UI framework for targeted in-app experiences.
  • Introduced functionality to view past bills on Web and Mobile after unsubscribing.

Wealthsimple

Software Engineering Intern, Sept 2021 — Dec 2021

  • Worked in a team of three on the home screen redesign, used by all 1.2+ million Trade app users.
  • Implemented functionality which allows users to sort their securities by performance and total value.
  • Built the Settings tab for Trade app using React Native and TypeScript in a microfrontend architecture.

  • Architected Rails services which added per-video notifications and made notifications more reliable.
  • Built microservices using Redshift and GraphQL facilitating targetted upgrade prompts by user segmentation
